Pool Houses
& Cabanas
A pool house should feel like part of the home, not a structure parked beside it. We design and build custom cabanas, pool houses and covered pavilions — change rooms, outdoor kitchens, bars, saunas and fireplaces — finished to the standard you would expect indoors.

Pool Houses & Cabanas
A private retreat
in your own yard.
The best pool houses do more than store towels. They give you somewhere to change, cook, eat and sit out of the sun — a genuine second living space that makes the pool worth using from May through October, and often well past it.
We build the whole structure: footings, framing, roof, cladding, and every piece of finish carpentry inside it. Slat-clad walls, tongue-and-groove cedar ceilings, coffered detailing, built-in bars and millwork, laser-cut privacy screens — all cut and fitted on site so the lines actually carry through.
Sound Familiar?
Common cabana
problems we solve.
The problem
A prefab kit that looks nothing like the house.
How we help
We design the structure to match your home's proportions, materials and rooflines, so it reads as part of the property rather than a catalogue item dropped on the lawn.
The problem
A structure that is really just a covered slab.
How we help
We plan the interior properly — change room, washroom rough-ins, storage, bar, and equipment space — so the building actually works during a pool party instead of just shading one.
The problem
Finish carpentry that fails after two winters.
How we help
We use western red cedar and finish-grade stock chosen for how it weathers, detailed for drainage and movement, so the joinery still looks right after several Ontario seasons.
The problem
Three trades, nobody coordinating them.
How we help
We run the build end to end and coordinate with your pool builder, landscaper and electrician, so the cabana lands on schedule alongside the rest of the yard.

Cedar and timber that lasts.
Western red cedar cladding, heavy timber posts and tongue-and-groove ceilings, selected and detailed for Ontario's freeze-thaw cycle.
Full structures, not shells.

A limited number of projects each year means the person who quoted your cabana is the person fitting the cladding.
Coordinated with your trades.
We work alongside pool builders, landscape contractors and designers already on your project rather than around them.

The Process
From the first on-site conversation to the final walkthrough, a cabana build follows the same four steps — so you always know what is happening and why.
01
Consultation
We begin on site, listening. How you want to live in the space, the way the light moves, the details worth getting right — this is where the project takes shape.
02
Design
We develop detailed drawings, material selections, and a clear quote, working alongside your architect, designer, and trades. Nothing moves forward until every detail is right.
03
Build
We build with precision and care, much of it cut and fitted by hand. A limited number of projects each year means Eric stays personally involved from footing to final finish.
04
Completion
We walk the finished space with you and clean the site as though we were never there — leaving only the work, and a project built to last.
Common Questions
Questions —
Answered.
The questions homeowners ask us most before starting a pool house or cabana.
Do I need a building permit for a pool house or cabana?
Usually yes. Most municipalities in York Region and Toronto require a permit once a structure passes a certain floor area, or whenever it has plumbing, a fireplace or permanent electrical. We handle the drawings and the permit process as part of the build, and we will tell you early what your specific lot and zoning allow.
How long does a cabana take to build?
Most pool houses and cabanas run roughly three to five months from the start of construction, depending on size, whether there is a washroom or sauna, and how the schedule lines up with the pool and landscape trades. Design, drawings and permits happen before that and add their own timeline.
Can you build the cabana while the pool is going in?
Often that is the ideal sequence — it means one round of excavation and site disruption instead of two, and services can be trenched once. We coordinate directly with your pool builder and landscape contractor to phase the work sensibly.
Can you add a sauna, outdoor kitchen or fireplace?
Yes, and most of our cabanas include at least one. We have built fully cedar-fitted saunas with tiered slat benches, full outdoor kitchens with stone counters and wood-fired ovens, and linear fireplaces with custom millwork surrounds. These are planned into the structure from the start rather than added on.
What areas do you build pool houses in?
We build across Vaughan, Kleinburg, King City, Woodbridge and Toronto, and we travel further into Ontario for the right project. Most of our cabana work is in York Region and North Toronto.
